COVID-19 PCR Test

For certain destinations, passengers still need to present a negative COVID-19 PCR/rapid antigen test no older than 24-72 hours at departure. You have to bear the cost of the test by yourself.

Here is a list of hospitals that provide tests for travel purposes, and you can also get tested at the airport. Results are typically available within 24 hours, at the airport after 5 hours.

One of the closest testing centers near SNU is the the H+ Yangji Hospital (H+ 양지병원) located at Sillim Subway station. The following instructions detail how to register for a traveller's COVID-19 PCR test at this hospital.

  1. Open the reservation link http://hplussafety.newyjh.com:9080/APM/ on your mobile device.
Note: the linked site does not work well on desktop PCs!
  2. After selecting the desired language, pick a date/time and enter the requested personal information. You will need to upload a photo of your passport or ARC. Make sure to select "Send a text message and issue a Medical certificate (additional cost incurred)" under point 8 of the application page. Then click "작성완료" to submit your reservation.

  3. Arrive at the hospital about 30 minutes before your reservation and follow the staffs' instructions.
  4. You will receive an SMS when your test results are available. To pick up your certificate, you need to visit the hospital again. Make sure to bring your ARC or passport - otherwise you cannot get your certificate!.
  5. There are plenty of blogs in Korean that illustrate the process with many pictures. Here is one example.
