COVID-19 Social Distancing Regulations
Disclaimer: this page summarizes the current social distancing rules in the hope that the information is useful for SNU's International Community. Recent important changes:
- All mask mandates have been suspended except for large hospitals.
- Covid-infected people do not have to quarantine anymore, but a five-day period of self-isolation is recommended.

Thursday, June 1 until further notice
The following rules come into effect Thursday, June 1, 2023.
- Masks do not have to be worn anymore except in large hospitals with over 50 people.
- All other social distancing regulations have been suspended until further notice.
- No quarantine after a confirmed Covid infection
If you suspect or are confirmed with a Covid infection, a quarantine is no longer mandatory, however, you are encouraged to self-isolate for five days.
